ENGINEERING kauffman center opening
The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts is a $500 million state-of-the-art performing arts center in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. Its construction was a major part of the amazing renaissance of downtown Kansas City that began in 2011.
For the Grand Opening of the iconic center, O’Neill was hired to produce a high-end gala for 1,700 attendees. O’Neill coordinated décor, lighting, guest lists, dinner, speeches and entertainment for the event and attending dignitaries, VIPs, celebrities and guests. Two days later, the public Open House welcomed 55,000 people, with O’Neill helping coordinate opening logistics, including more than 60 local performance groups on 6 different stages within the confines of the Performing Arts Center and on the building grounds overlooking the KC skyline.
